Are you an English teacher?

The IATEFL (International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language) conference is happening now – this year in Harrogate. If you aren’t there in person, you can still participate and enjoy the conference online.

Here’s the official website for the conference: http://iatefl.britishcouncil.org/2014/

You’ll also find the link for the Twitter feed on this home page – worth following as you’ll get links to many other useful sites for teaching English. #iatefl

Find out more about the IATEFL organisation here: http://www.iatefl.org/annual-conference/harrogate-2014# It’s an expensive organisation to join, so perhaps you could persuade your workplace to join for you. The main advantage  – apart from cheaper conference attendance fees – is the magazine IATEFL Voices which you might be able to find at your local British Council library. You could also consider membership of a Special Interest Group, some of which are vibrant networks and communities of people working in a similar field to you.
